Kanga's wallet is made from scraps of gold brocade fabric that was left over
when a doll maker in Asakusabashi made kimonos for hina dolls,
and was due to be discarded because it was too small.

This is an upcycled item that has been reborn as a wallet.

Because they are made from pieces of fabric that would otherwise be discarded because they are too small,

only one product can be made from one piece of fabric.

That's why Kanga's products are all one-of-a-kind.

Brocade fabric is a high-quality fabric made by weaving beautiful patterns with gold and silver foil,
or gold and silver threads added to colored threads.

This fabric was introduced from MIN in the late 16th century, and its gorgeous,
lavish patterns that shine in golden color are particularly luxurious among textiles,
making it one of the highest-ranking fabrics among the many available.

It is generally used for Hina dolls, Noh costumes, robes, kimono sashes, and mountings (hanging scrolls).

In addition to the traditional silk, production of polyester brocade has increased.
